Who installs the system?
There is no complicated installation procedure with our system – it is designed to be installed by the client or caregiver in just minutes. The client and caregiver simply download the Better Alerts App from the App Store or Google Play Store to their smartphone. That's it. Sync up your new Pebble Smart Watch™ to your phone and you're ready to go. No need to plug into an electrical outlet and a telephone jack. Better Alerts has you protected wherever you go. Other companies may charge you a substantial installation fee to come plug in their system (home only). Once you connect the Better Alerts system, the client or caregiver can set up and edit all of the client's alerts (Medicine Reminders, Safe Zone, etc.) after selecting a plan and finishing the order process. It's as easy as that.
Can multiple people be protected from one cell phone?
No, each Pebble Smart Watch™ works with your own smartphone.
How will EMS access my home if the door is locked?
Many of our clients hide a key or get a lockbox from the local hardware store that holds a key to their door. The lockbox is a secure box that easily attaches to your home. Real estate agents use them when showing a home. Most clients call their emergency personnel and give them the combination to the lockbox so they can get in if there is an emergency. The lockbox can also be used so that emergency contacts can get to you in the event the door is locked.
Can the system go with me if I move or am on vacation?
That's the beauty of Better Alerts System, it works wherever you go. It works with your Pebble Smart Watch™ and your smartphone. If you have a change of address, medications, etc. you can edit those changes easily from the website. Remember, Better Alerts sends text and email alerts with your GPS location anywhere in North America.
How do I talk to my family members about getting a personal emergency response system?
These days, most seniors want to spend their remaining years where they started. They don't want to go into assisted living; they want to stay in their home and maintain their independence. The Better Alerts System allows them to stay in their homes and be as active as they want. If they like to take walks, travel, visit family and friends, they can. How much does it cost?
Our Better Alerts Total Protection Plan is just $27.45 a month with our annual plan unless we have Free Watch Giveaway. We also provide a Standard Plan at $19.95 a month. That's it – no set up fees, free iOS and Android phone apps, no activation fees, and no long term contract. (Better Alerts does require a Pebble Smart Watch™)
You receive one month free when you pay for one year in advance – saving you $29.95 a year unless there is a Better Promotion with a Free Watch. Sorry you can't combine offers. If you need to cancel the service for any reason, Better Alerts will refund the unused portion of your pre-paid service right away. The exception would be if you received a Free Watch Promotion, then you would have a one year commitment.
Is there a contract?
There is NO long term contract with Better Alerts. We ask you to try the system for 90 days, and you can discontinue service at any time after that. You will receive a full pro-rated refund for any pre-paid service (semi-annual or annual unless you received a free Smart watch).
How often can I press the button?
You can press the top button as often as you like – there is NO additional charge for pressing the Caregiver Button. Even if you don’t have an emergency, we encourage our clients to press the Caregiver Button at least once a week as a test. This will also give the client peace of mind knowing they are protected anywhere they are in the country. We do ask that the client not press the 911 button (bottom button) unless it is an emergency. You don't want the paramedics at your home for a test.

Better Alerts affiliates ship your Pebble Smart Watch™ the next day, you will receive it in 5-7 business days. You can pick up your Pebble Smart Watch™ at any Best Buy™ or Target™ retail store and be protected the same day.

Do I need a landline phone to use the system?
No, the Better Alerts System works with your iOS or Android smartphone, so an expensive landline is not required.
What do I need to prepare to order service?
Ordering Better Alerts Medical Alert System takes less than 10 minutes. The most important information is the client's name, address, and cell phone number. You will also need to consider who will be the client's Primary Caregiver and emergency contacts as they are all contacted by text and email in the event of an emergency with your GPS Location. We recommend up to 10 emergency contacts that include doctors, neighbors or nearby relatives. The caregiver will also have a Better Alerts log-in and password so they can log into the website and set up Medicine Reminders, Safe Zone, etc. for the user.
Your contact and medicine information is kept strictly private. We recommend that the client let the caregiver or emergency contacts know how to get into the home in the event that they have a fall or button press while in their home. Better Alerts System works anywhere in the country but quite often, accidents happen in the home.
When you order, you will also need to provide your initial payment using a credit or debit card, or other approved method.

What payment options are available?
We accept all major Credit Cards and Debit Cards through online check out. Three payment options are available to suit your needs: Quarterly, Semi-Annual and Annual. Get one month free when you pay annually in advance unless there is a Better free Pebble Promotion. Any pre-paid balances will be prorated and refunded by Better Alerts to the Client within 5-7 business days.
Can client information be changed after the Better Alerts system is ordered?
Yes, the client information can be changed anytime by the client or caregiver from the website. Simply log in using the client's username and password to make all of your changes. These include: Emergency Contacts, Primary Caregiver, Medicine Reminders, Fall Detection, Dementia Fence and more.
Will fall detection detect all falls?
Fall Detection will not detect 100% of falls. The client should always push their caregiver button once or 911 Button twice in the event of a fall. This will send alerts to caregivers and emergency contacts in seconds, letting them know the client needs help. This will also send the link with their Google Maps™ location.
Can Safe Zone be turned off if I want my privacy?
Absolutely. Many of our clients want to maintain their privacy and independence. The Safe Zone is set to off by default. It can be activated and turned off through the Clients user profile on the website or through settings in the Better Alerts app.

How much does the equipment cost?
There is no charge for the Better Alerts iOS and Android smartphone apps . You will need a Pebble Smart Watch™ which can be ordered during the checkout process on our website, and it is free with an annual subscription of our Total Protection Plan. If you need the service today, you can pick one up the Pebble Smart Watch™ at any Best Buy or Target retail store and be protected the same day. Can it be worn in the bath and shower?
The Pebble Smart Watch™ is waterproof and can be worn in the bath and shower, which is the most dangerous place in the house. You also can wear it in the ocean or pool. No worries! It's Medical Alert Monitoring for the 21st Century.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
What if I want to cancel the system?
No problem. We don't have any long term contracts, so simply notify us at
email@example.com or call us at 855-811-0434 and let us know that you want to discontinue service. Once we have been notified, we will cancel your service and refund any pre-paid balances on your account.
What is the refund eligibility for cancellations?
Pro-rated amount of any pre-paid, unused web service subscription fees based on the date the system was ordered and the cancellation date.
What is the refund eligibility if customer cancels before unit has shipped?
There is a full refund of pre-paid monitoring subscription fees.
How does Better Alerts refund cancellations?
Any refund due back to our customers will be issued within 5-7 business days of cancelation date
Refund will be posted to the credit card on file with us. If no valid form of payment is on file, we will issue a check.
Any payments due to Better Alerts will be charged to the form of payment on file with us.
If no valid form of payment is on file with us, we'll send an electronic invoice.
$5.00 administrative fee applies if we have to send an invoice for final payment, or if you require an invoice for your regular recurring subscription fee.
